This band hasn't been straight Deathcore since their debut

how you could ever confuse this band with deathcore is beyond me. but Ritual can be kind of boring despite some killer tracks imo.

I've never understood the gripes against Ritual; I love every track on that record, especially A Shrine to Madness, Moonlight Equilibrium, Conspiring With the Damned, The Window, Carbonized in Cruciform, and The Raven. The lyrics for The Window are so fucking dark, and it's one of their most melodic tracks imo. The album as a whole is second in their discography for me, right behind Nocturnal.

hmm. well yeah, i think its a little too long, i think the slower tracks are kind of boring, and a lot of the tracks have riffs that feel recycled. thats my reasoning.
