Yeah and it won't leave my head anytime soon apparently. I need to re-jam this.

Enhanced Reality sounds like the true 11th track of the album. I was very surprised that it isn't aggressive.

Purely based off the style of it I think Enhanced Reality was another contender to close the regular album but they went with Expiration Date and maybe that's why it's 'only' bonus track. Both are awesome songs though, 2 of may favourites from here.

Expiration Date feels like Sigur Ros for some reason. Hoppipolla maybe?

I wish they'd go full Front Line Assembly on one track.
Genexus remix sounds like something off Fear is the Mindkiller.

1:31 on the first track of this album and 1:13 on the first track of Demanufacture are literally exactly the same

"literally exactly the same" No. Very similar, yep. But well. There's only so many riffs you can write with two notes and some very fast chugging.
|
| |
Eh it's not really the riff I'm talking about so much as the vocal rhythm lol
They have at least a couple other songs with that exact same rhythm too
Just a very samey band, still perfectly enjoyable oc

I'm still not sold on Expiration Date. I feel like it's probably the weakest song on here :/

Well, you don't need to be sold on Expiration Date. And yeah, from one point of view it could be one of the weakest track of the album. It's just that its status as a poppy, 80s, epic closer makes it unmissable, average or not, whereas a song like Automatic Combat System, as an opener and a classic FF track, has a lot more to achieve in order not to sound dull, contrived and unoriginal.
If the album had been eleven Expiration Date I'm sure people would have complained though.

They will never top Final Exit as a closer though
