I went through a phase with Thornography where I was irked by how simplistic the drumming and guitarwork was, even for them, and I used to prefer the albums that came out afterwards, just because they were faster and somewhat more technical. Though honestly it has some of their best 00s songs, and is overall one of their strongest since their classics. It was also the first Cradle I ever heard, so it has mad nostalgia for me as well.

Agreed, thornography gets more hate than it deserves. Living near a woodland area and owning a copy of this means there'll be a great atmosphere this halloween.

Run around a church anti clockwise 6 times and the worst thing ever could happen, you might trip up and sprain your ankle.

Nah, I've never dug 'em dude.
Credit where it's due with the artwork, absolutely cracking set of thrupennies on that bird at the foot of that beast thingy though.

The paintings in the liner notes are pretty splendid too, lots of great knockers.

I don't blame you for not digging them, they've always been one of the most divisive bands around.

Nice, I almost went a few years ago but ended up having a conflict unfortunately. Seeing Cradle around 97-01 sounds like one of the coolest concert experiences ever tbh

One of those rare instances where the bonus tracks are of an equal quality to the rest of the album

Saw Cradle at Nottingham Rock City this past Friday. Dani can pull of those screams no problem, and Lindsay is pretty damn hot. The band put on an awesome performance. Anyone who wants the setlist, I'll gladly post it.

Comming here soon... Very hyped to be honest. I really hope this tops the expectations I've built towards it.

The dual-guitar assault on here is godly, Allender is great and all but his leaving was the best thing to happen to this band in a long time.

Spinning this in this momment and I gotta say it has been sending shivers down my spine. I mean, to see a band comming back this hard after an almost 10 year downward spiral, and that the band in fact is one of your all-time favorites is a matter of nostalgia. I had really lost my hope in CoF after Darkly, and if I had listened The Manticore as soon as it went out, probably I would have lost my faith completely. But here I am jamming this and it is blowing my mind as I type. You were right Hawks! The album fucking slays. m/
