F#A# Infinity was auditory sex. This is more like foreplay. Great album though.

Also, air pos'd. And a high five for the opening paragraph.

So I guess the new rule for post-reunited Godspeed is every new record MUST have 4 songs, 2 of which MUST be drones.

Their next album in 2018 will be Drone, Drone, Song, Song. Or it might be Song, Song, Drone, Drone. It just can't be Song, Drone, Song, Drone or Song, Drone, Drone, Song, cuz they already did those.

Their next record will be a collab with Do Make Say Think. Mark my words.

because that would be sweet.

I'd like to see more collabs like the The Body/Braveyoung collab, which was basically two completely different bands playing two distinct pieces at the same time. It's like noise doom but with minimalist post-rock behind it, which creates a whole new sound. I don't know what kind of group could do that with Godspeed, but it'd be cool to see.

I mean I guess it would be interesting I just didn't know if he had any reason to say that. Should be a new DMST LP in 2015. And I wouldn't be super interested in that collab, I don't think their styles would mesh particularly well, unless they came together with an altogether different vision in mind. But I have no idea why that would happen. Plus, Godspeed is already a conglomeration of many different creative people coming together to form something cohesive, and DMST are fairly set in their ways.

Thou/The Body collab is one of my favorites this year though.

the payoff for this is just huge, great record; although would've prefered if they just kept all the parts into just one fat symbolic slug but hey

I mean it's just an educated guess based on a plethora of updates via facebook so don't take my word on it but I recall hearing it was late in the process, somewhere
