One of the best albums in general. I think this is my all time fav album actually, goes back and forth between this and In the Nightside Eclipse.

I still cant choose between Pale and The Mantle. But this is definitely one of my favorite metal record(only TSIB and Oceanic tops this in my mind as whole album). It's so good even non-metal folks can like something about it.

The clean guitar tone during that section is sublime, and the flow is masterful.

And the riff that follows is oh so tasty...like I really love Ashes, and it's definitely more mature than this record, but there's such a charm to this production and songwriting style that easily makes this my favorite Agalloch
