It was "Cum On My Face"

Man I hate how abruptly the 22 Faces solo ends, sounds like a shitty radio edit
|
| |
The Gods Must Be Crazy is another one. Ending/transitioning out of guitar solos is not something they did super well on the earlier albums.
|
| |
Their solos are basically the only reason why I listen to this band. They write some fantastic leads.

P4 has my fave solo from every member I think:
Mark: Reptile
Misha: Blood Eagle
Jake: Follow Your Ghost
(Luck as a Constant doesn't count cause that's obv the best one)

WAIT I forgot Rainbow Gravity but idk who plays that one
|

i've never heard a deafheaven guitar solo before

Got a soft spot for a lot of the tracks on here. Heavy Heart, Alpha, 22 Faces and Rainbow Gravity are some of the catchiest tunes these guys have ever done. Second half of The Scourge is awesome too! Sure it's not the strongest album overall, and of course, Omega crushes it, but it's some good dumb fun!

never bothered to really dig into the lore here, finally doing so. definitely elevates it all, honestly. I always knew there was some kind of "concept" behind Jug but had barely put any of the pieces together till now. REALLY wish they would attempt another concept album. This type of stuff (along with Reptile and Dracul Gras) is where they really shine. The songwriting feels so natural to them here, all flows together so well, and love the atmosphere

Listened to this one for the first time today, the first half was tough but from Alpha onwards it starts getting really hairy
alpha, 22, and rainbow is a great run of tracks
|
| |
yeah album doesn't really get into a groove until the t/t but when it hits it really hits
first five tracks are mostly there to set up the concept and establish motifs more than anything
