Nah I kinda disagree because imagine how much worse XXX by Danny Brown would be if it didn't have any songs like XXX or 30



Basically I find rampant misogyny and hedonism a lot more enjoyable if the artist realizes that what they're doing isn't very positive. They may be doing a lot of stupid shit as you put it but they're kinda undermining all of that by saying "hey, maybe this isn't a totally good idea, yo" and pointing out that most of their lyrical content is kind of a reaction against the intense poverty they faced only a few years before rather than a "we've always been on top and this rap shit is easy, yo"



Also though I do point out that the lyrics in here are probably my least favorite part of the album. I may be weird in saying this but in hip-hop I usually listen to flow over lyrics (one of the main reasons I like DB so much), and Rae Sremmurd's flow is just bonkers. If they had earth-shatteringly good lyrics then this would be a 5 almost unquestionably but you take what you can get, and in this case what we got was great production matching up with wonderful flow
