Going through her discog once again, noticing how amazing this is, especially for a debut. It's near to a 4.5. However, the first two songs kind of overshadow some of the other songs. That's not to say that the ones after it aren't amazing in their own ways (I feel like Come to Me is extremely underappreciated), they just aren't quite on the same level as the first three, because every one of those shows how a pop song should be done, but each one in a different way.



Like, different shades of awesome.



Edit: I should note that I don't count Play Dead because it's technically a bonus track, but if it counts, boy, that's the fourth one that joins the team.

I like Aeroplane, but I understand that it is probably the most controversial song due to the sax parts and stuff.

My least favorite is One Day, which is mostly just because it's a bit too long for its own good

Jamming this for the first time today, I'm not completely finished yet but the besides the first two (which blew me away btw) the rest seems a bit mundane to me

Can't forget though that this made me realize that dance music can be artistic

Come to Me is the most underrated track on here imo, but Venus As a Boy is like ... one of the best songs ever. I don't know anything that transports the same feeling, the same kind of atmosphere. Did the version you heard include Play Dead at the end?

No idea, haven't finished yet I'm gonna finish on my way home from work. Venus definitely did have an interesting atmosphere... I'm sure it'll grow on me

Ah okay. Play Dead was added on later releases as a bonus track and it's one of my favorite early Björk songs.
