Forlatt hit me harder than Weiland, so try that.

Also, new Empyrium album coming up one of these days!

Indeed it in fact is released today! I haven't listened yet but will have by the end of the day. I'll be sure to check out Forlatt soon.

I know one of the guys in this band. What I've heard is pretty cool if somewhat minimalistic for my liking

I love the minimalistic texture of it, but it drags on if you listen to this as a whole, but that's how the album kind of word

I really do love this, but part 3 and 5 seem far too long for what they are. If this were split into maybe 7 or 8 tracks, this could easily be a potential 5

Great review, this is a very emotional album. First time I listened to it was the other day after finding out that my dog has to be rehomed, cried like a bitch. Seriously wonderful though.

Sorry to hear about your dog, Booth. I agree with what you said about the album though, it is definitely very moving.

Part 5 could easily go down for SOTY. Can hear lots of elements of The Four Seasons from that

If you like this but haven't ever heard the song "La Dryade" by Gris, check it out.

Yeah man he's the one, thanks for your words Judio. Are there any other bands that you'd recommend similar to these guys?

Check out Vali, I know I mentioned them in my review but they're my other favorite neofolk band and their album Skogslandskap is an excellent listen. If you dig this, you're bound to enjoy them too.
