I feel like the most random things turn of me off from certain albums, but here it's the lack of personality in his voice... he just sounds like every male indie pop vocalist ever was mixed together and averaged out. Makes the whole album feel kinda boring.
I swear, that intro instrumental grabbed my attention hard only for the rest of the album to make me lose it/
Despite that: his use of orchestration is lovely and consistently interesting, which makes me feel super conflicted when rating this, but I think a 3 will have to do for now. I'll give it a 2nd listen either later today or tomorrow.
The closer was epic though, despite his voice

Listened to it 3 times and I'm sorry I just don't get anything out of this one
It's well made and somewhat original, but at the same time it turns me off in the same way like Sufjan Stevens does
In Fantasia is my biggest takeaway on here
