"now im worried about the new wolves in throne room and opeth"

Don't worry about Opeth, they're gonna deliver. I also have a good feeling about WitTR even though my head says it will suck.

Wasn't blown away by anything on it on my first casual listen yesterday, but it's still Agalloch and

still pleasant to hear, I think. Probably anywhere froma 3.0-4.0 from me.

Astral Dialogue is very close but I think Celestial Effigy is my favorite here, more Agalloch-y.

Astral Dialogue is actually one of the weirdest (in a good way) tracks they've done I think due to

its reliance on that fast-paced, melodic riff. Don't think they have any other songs like it.

I've listened to marrow at least 50 times and I still think it's absolutely average

I just checked and Noctus 5'd the band's first four records. Given that, I assume then that he

probably really really wants to enjoy this record, too, despite any current feelings of

underwhelm-ment toward it. That explains the multiple listens.

Plus you don't just jam this band once and immediately come to an opinion on it. lern2agalloch noobs
