as long as they get recognition and support for their efforts, it doesn't matter if "the unworthy" check this out the band

wins either way. I also doubt they'd be the types to sellout.

40-something ratings is hardly overrated/hyped. Before I reviewed this it had less than 30. What

does it matter anyway? I enjoyed this album more than anything this year and probably for the past

few years, and a lot of others probably think the same. It can't be overhyped if people listen to it

and give their honest opinion. If overhyping an album was of any concern or relevance there would be

no point in giving positive reviews because that would just get more people to listen to the album.

I review so people can hear good music and stay away from potentially poor music. If even one person

reads the review then checks out the album and really enjoys it then my job is done.

13 pages in less than a day for death metal? I dunno man.

Several of those pages were about comment count and other stupid sputnik bs though.

Tbh Crysis I said what I said in context with what happened to Coloured Sands. Just after its release it was considered amazing by most people, now the hype's died down a lot of people are saying that it's not as good as they expected it to be. Same thing with Carcass, same thing with Ulcerate, same thing with CoL (not dm but w/e), same thing with Swans last year, same thing with Immolation etc. etc. etc.

when there's an album released that lots of people like, after a while, there's an anti-hype train that comes along just to push against the people who really love the album

so yeah part of it is "hype" dying down, but I think part of it is also anti-hype gearing up and people getting tired of hearing about it
