good review, i agree that this isnt hardcore/emo, and yes it is pop/punk but i like that kinda stuff, unlike most people here i really did enjoy the album, you guy should cut them a little slack, and although i did enjoy this cd the first one was way better

your review was well written.

this is a good cd. but i dont agree with you on helena. that song is the worst. im not ok gets old after awhile.
but i think the ghost of you is the best single yet. it was the only one i liked before it came out. the vocals are very moving. but it gets kinda boring after the 1st verse.
give me hell, kid was a good song, it use ot be my favorite but now i think its really old.

my favorite is the jetset life is gonna kill you. its awesome. i also like cemetry drive, i dont think its the worst one on the album

I finally got the opportunity to hear this album. I LOVED it. My favorite is probably The Jetset Life Is Gonna Kill You, with Hang Em High in close second. Interlude was boring and Helena is still below-average but beyond that I loved every song. Going to buy it soon

excellent review there. i love the album. i agree with you shabutie, its near perfect

just a few disagreements with the review....theyre personal opinion though so take no offence.
firstly, interlude isnt really to be treated as a song, more as a short break time in the middle of the album (hence "interlude"), where it fits perfectly, to make the album a whole "show" rather than a bunch of songs thrown together.
secondly, ive found "cemetary drive" more interesting after listening to it quite a few times (in fact its my fav song on there) - there are plenty of underlying melodies that you pick up as u listen to it, and a great beat. i guess everyone will have their own opinion on that one

this isnt even a punk band... they're mainstream emo posers.. they are a disgrace to all that is punk.. bands like this have sid vicious rolling in his grave... its truly sad.

they are completely emo mainstream pop music. all about fasion and shit. and i forgot to mention sid vicious was a terrible bassist, yeah, but he knew what the scene was about and he was true to the cause. these guys are nothing like what punk was created as, or what its meant to be. anti flag, bad religion, the unseen... now thats real punk rock. and i doubt that you've even heard of them...mcr is just mainstream emo pop... its a disgrace to even think they're punk...

Hey MysticTripp, name one current punk band that dont have pop or emo traces in them. All punk has at least some pop in them, just because some of them are more popular than others doesnt make them a disgrace to punk.

As for the album, it was good at first but got old fast. Although I must admit, Im Not Okay is still a guilty pleasure for me.

ok, the Used annoys me, but my chemical romance just angers me. How lame can you get? I guess the part that bugs me the most is the fact that they think that what there doing is cool. Want to listen to some real music, emo-boy? Here are my top for those who want to shave off their straightened, black-dyed hair and have some friends that don't constantly talk about how sad and tortured their existances are.
1. The Pixies
2. Modest Mouse
3. Radiohead
4. The Fiery Furnaces
5.The Velvet Underground

^^ this is hilarious, Gene Simmons was an awful bass player and MCR's guitarists are decent from a pop-punk stand point.
Real "rock" bands are still around, you're just to lazy to find them.
