I can barely get into Converge. I just don't understand the appeal for it

It's just bah for me, and I like death metal (I'm not saying it is, I'm just saying that I like heavy music).

That was me for the longest time. Really takes being in a bad place Imo. But Jane Doe got me through a really rough patch with this girl who left me for another guy, from there it was never possible for me to rate it lower than a 4.

If you want something that is in my opinion even better than JD though, listen to All We Love We Leave Behind. The production is better and there's more diversity in song structure.

Everybody got his stories, ah, the power of music.

Anyway, speaking of Sevenfold, I still recommend to try their first two full lengths. They are nothing

like Converge, for example.

@Sowing Yeah, I'm well aware it's about how you feel too and maybe one day it'll click. Will check out the record at some point. .

I've tried both. I really disliked their debut as it was really poorly recorded and I don't like M. Shadows screamed vocals on WTF. Sounds like he tries too hard

To be honest the parts that I prefer on WTF are when he uses clean vocals, like the ending of

"Desecrate Through Reverence" or "And All Things Will End" (which has maybe the best implemented

screams from him).

I really like both WTF and the debut though. I find that the debut has a lot of big jams.

When I had my A7X phase, I wasn't into harsh vocals, but I've outgrown metalcore now. Sadly, I don't think i'll ever get into their debut or WTF

I'd just rather listen to something like Kvelertak than anything these guys have put out anymore

The similarity is actually quite apparent, the vocals are just so much more different

BVB's guitars sound a lot like A7X, and should I mention the rip-off of "Unholy Confessions" riff?

I'd rather listen to anything than this.

The placement of solos in their songs are also pretty similar
