I don't think Tyler will ever top Bastard
the production off his last two albums just seem too light, synthed out and (for lack of a better word) quirky. His music really suffers without the brooding, dark and ignorant beats

Same goes with Earl in my mind, he sounded better on the gritty beats like moth and moonlight from EARL. However he gets away with it on this one more than Tyler does on goblin/wolf because this album has some really quality production by BBNG, Pharrell and Flylo

He sounds like an arrogant douchebag whenever he starts rapping and I cant even sit through his shitty verses

I don't like Tyler much anymore, either. I feel like Earl got a lot better after EARL and it shows here. I really like the honesty in tracks like Sunday and Burgundy. And while epaR kind of turned me off to Vince Staples, it's clear that he and Earl work really well together; Hive is really great with lots of hidden references to stuff like the one to Breaking Bad in the second verse. Centurion is really good too, because the dark beat is the perfect backdrop to Earl's imagery (and that hook is super catchy despite being simple spoken word).
Guild is a good track too, with a surprising verse from Miller (Earl always sounded good slow, so no surprise there). Hoarse has some airy, filler-ish lyrics in some spots that turn me off of it, but I like it still. Not a huge fan of Dom's verses, but neither of them are annoying like Tyler's spot. Whoa sounds like a throwback to EARL (the title track), and it's full of instant gratification but after having heard the album several times, I think I would've preferred another Chum, Sunday, or Burgundy. Speaking of Chum, I overplayed it before the album came out, but I still love it and it's still pretty haunting despite the beat not being nearly as dark as Centurion.
Pre rules because the beat is just so fucking nasty, and SK doesn't ruin it too much. Molasses is good, but forgettable (except for everyone's favorite line).

Pre beat is so fuckin sick, makes me want to listen to that on repeat over and over.
After listening to Earl again I also think that he has gotten better. Earl may have been funner, and I enjoyed the beats generally more, but Doris is a better piece all-in-all.

The features on this album are mostly really bad, but I love Earl.

Only feature I didn't really like was Domo, I wish Rza had a full verse though
