Old Dreams Waiting To Be Realized isn't on some of the physical releases. all the single disc cd versions and the vinyl version exclude it and have it as a bonus download i believe. album is a 5/5 with or without it.

well i mean obviously you should listen to it with it for your first time

anyways, the fucking coolest thing about this record for me is that its literally Silent Shout combined with Tomorrow In A Year which are fucking polar opposite Knife albums aesthetically

I don't know if this is exactly a venn diagram of those two albums, I think it has a good few flavours that weren't present on either

some of this definitely feels like the techno / synthpop of Silent Shout with its shiny components swapped out for noisy bits of Tomorrow In A Year weirdness

on the other hand the drones feel very unique, and there is a sinister bite to songs like Full of Fire which I think is special to this album too

it definitely takes the elements of both to a new level that transcends them and makes it unique but the elements definitely are there. as you said it has the techno / synthpop elements of silent shout except extremely refined and matured to a point that it doesnt come off as either really. and then it takes the obscure ambience and electroacoustic elements as well as the percussive, conceptual, cinematic, and orchestral components of tomorow in a year and works them in in more colourful and exasperated manner too.

it is its own beast but when u listen to silent shout and then tomorrow in a year it makes perfect sense how they got here
