Simply put, Queens of the Stone Age haven't sounded this good in YEARS.

"probs because they haven't put out any music in YEARS"

True. This is one of the weakest releases I've heard by them. "I Sat By the Ocean" rules hard; sounds like a classic rock song, but the other 9 songs are weak.

To the person calling me a troll, sorry, I'm not a troll; I just simply don't see what people see in this cd.

Hmm. You don't even like If I Had A Tail and I Appear Missing. I seriously have no clue. This is one of their best imo.

If i had a tail is actually one of the weaker songs on this for me, seems like there's a few clipping issues on it as well

still got major swagger mind

the song is weak because the production is bad!

how is bad production not a legit reason for liking a song less? it factors into the listening experience in a big way

It depends on what your understanding of the word 'flawless' is.

well the overall aesthetic suits the album to a tee, but i don't think over-compression or

brickwalling sounds good on any album ever

its too loud! there is no dynamic range! the music needs to breathe! ah!

which also leads it sounding kind of harsh on the ears at high volumes

I don't think this is over-compressed or too loud. I don't think they were opting for retaining the live sound so much with this one. The difference is in the approach.
