Frances owns this and Amputechture eats it for lunch (not dinner mind you)...right now though it's in a no holds bar street fight with Bedlam for 3rd place...i'm leaning towards this but i can't say just yet...

I agree with chan. And other than a few songs, I can't stand Bedlam.

Na it's just misunderstood...Day of the Baphomets is TMV's second best song (Cassandra obviously is one with Miranda probably third), the only problem is it's opener and closer...they don't hit hard enough in the first few listens so it takes a lot of listens for one to truly get it but now i love them...

i probably just overplayed de-loused but it's the only mars album i skip songs from if they comes up in a shuffle and it's the only album i don't willingly choose to play anymore...

I never got the acclaim on Bedlam, it's just so meh and disappointing by Volta's high standards.

De-Loused > Frances > Bedlam > Amputechture

5 > 4 > 2.5 or 2 > 2

Day of the Baphomets is amazing, as is Vermicide. Meccamputechture is pretty gay in my book, but I think Viscera Eyes is pretty solid so I dunno.

Bedlam is a pretty solid comeback, but Tourniquet Man totally kills the momentum of that album. Not for nothing, but the first 5 tracks are just total wallops over the head, so having the last half as the less energetic half doesn't do much for it, especially after that shit fest.
