Honestly, tho Star Trek and Star Wars are so vastly different outside of having Star in their name and

being sci-fi related its ridiculous.

Also, how could The Greatest Generation be a huge step down from Suburbia, they've improved in nearly

all areas from that album.

Star Wars is awesome for imagery, sound effects and music. Trek is good for themes and whatnot. At their best they're both awesome, at worst they stain the earth. The next gen movies go toe to toe with the prequels of doom in the awfulness stakes.

This album can be a step down because the lyrics aren't anywhere near as engaging as their last and the music is generally limp in comparison.

To be fair though, these new Star Trek films are more like dumb action movies like Star Wars

Trek was always faux-intellectual. It was usually entertaining, but most of it was high school philosophy with 'tronic' added on to the end of words.
