Heaven Beside You is in my top 5 Alice songs

It's kind of inconsistent but I don't think it's a big deal because it's pretty great.

It's not that inconsistent.

Upon first listens i used to think this was very inconsistent, but then it grew on me like crazy and i think it's not inconsistent at all :]
and yes grind is amazing, another one w/ jerry on vocals ALA :]
|
| |
Definitely not as consistent as Dirt or Flies

The vocal effects in Grind are just...

Grindcore doesn't really have much to do with any of the other "core" genres. It's sort of its own thing
|
| |
Well don't listen to metalcore unless it's Converge or Dillinger Escape Plan

"Grindcore doesn't really have much to do with any of the other "core" genres."
of course it has. the genre is heavily connected to hardcore punk

Well yeah, but it doesn't sound anything like metalcore or deathcore or anything like that. That's what I meant.
@ALA grindcore sounds more like death metal.

grindcore is faster, louder, more violent and definitely less gay

smh @ Vedder being artificial
have y'all even heard Black or Nothingman? dude had emotion bleeding out of his soul

if you don't think that's genuine emotion in them there songs, idk man

Jeremy is quite clearly storytelling and is also based off a true story (it's also a fucking fantastic song)
Vedder didn't have Layne's super-raw emotion, no, but he was easily the most diverse songwriter of the four and was able to draw from more influences than just his own situation. Which is probably a big contributor to why Vitalogy is the most musically diverse album of its whole genre. Give me that over Cornell's gibberish lyrics any day

spoonman is probably the most meaningful song ever recorded
