Blasphemy

I must say I don't agree with the review's conclusion: making challenging, experimental music has never been the norm for pop music, nor will it ever be. Albums like this are rare examples. Most artists just don't have the talent or the drive to make music this good.

Should & Being are different things, sadly enough. To get Pop back up would require changing the genre itself.

Lyrics aren't really all that important in pop music, so I really don't care either way. The production and melodies are
absolutely brilliant

that review was mega bullshit

I think the review was fair enough though, but it wasn't enough justification for a 3.0. Read like a 3.5 but maybe that's on the Sputnik scale

Really? It complimented everything about the album's sound, though.
I mean it did read a bit like Downer's ironic soundoff "POP MUSIC MORE THAN FOUR MINUTES? BORING" yet
I'd imagine the viewpoint could be a legitimate opinion of how pop music should be created. And it
strikes me as odd that half the posters here who talk about how they don't care about lyrics in a JT
album are the same ones who laugh at how shitty the lyrics of other pop stars are. But if you care
about lyrics then that's certainly a fair complaint as well, yeah?
