yay feature! my first ever! thanks so much for the kinds words (those of you that actually took the time to read and comment on the review), and thanks to whichever mystery mod made it so, you're the best.

more than anything though, I'm glad to see so many people actually checking this out. share it around with your non music-fag friends if you think they'll dig it, let's get this guy some exposure! and don't be shy about paying more than 0.00 for the album, throw this nigg some cash!

thanks everyone, for reading and for listening.

A lot of it is dubstep, some of it is ambient, and raindrops is dnb. IMO.

tm nailed it more or less. generally, it would fall under "bass music" which is kind of an umbrella term to describe dubstep and DnB. obviously Raindrops is straight up DnB and The Woods is straight up dubstep, but most of the other tracks fall somewhere in between. Also, As I Am is more like trip-hop than anything else. And then of course there is the organic sound, the original instrumentation, the ambient feel.

the best I could do with a descriptor for this would be "bass-music with heavy ambient influences" but then that doesn't even do it, does it?

Drum & bass doesn't have anything to do with the whole "bass music" scene man

all the best music is impossible to describe by simply throwing a few genre tags at it

I don't really think an album ever necessarily needs an overall genre description. I mean if every song is a blatant 140 bpm dubstep track then yeah the album is dubstep, but if it's a bunch of different things then trying to find some universal term to describe dubstep, ambient, dnb, etc. is just gonna be awkward and uninformative. Tracks can usually be split up fairly well, but there's no reason to have to say that this album is "bass music" or dubstep/dnb/ambient/idm/whatever. But it's pretty clear what each track is on its own, for the most part.

agree so hard. genres are dumb, but they can be useful

thanks matt

i am surprised that no one has said anything about the summary. it's sort of an inside joke between

me and josh (the guy who made this kickass musakz)
