I like the chorus in To The Wolves. I think the whole song is solid, especially the pre-chorus. It's that dumb ass "almost solo" they threw in there that bothers me. I don't know why they just didn't go all out and throw a kick ass solo in instead. We all know the lead guitarist is capable of it.
I also really like the chorus in Desires too...

Oh I enjoy Desires' chorus, too. It's the "A liar! A liar! That's what you make of me. Desire! Desire! Something something" that isn't as melodic as I'd hoped it'd be. Still the rest is pretty good, but compared to the verses which I think are really as fantastic, it doesn't quite measure up.
As for To The Wolves, agree to disagree there. I find the chorus repetitive. Unlike others, I actually liked To The Wolves as a whole much better than We Owe This To Ourselves (even given the latter's bridge), but the chorus is still anticlimactic (and lyrically repetitive). Still, one of my favorite moments from DitW is "Thought it was me and you against the world/ But you left me to the wolves." Just that line has always been really sweet.

@xtoxin
The pre-chorus of To the Wolves is the best part, especially the lyrics you mentioned. My favorite part of the Dark/Light album are the verses from Closer. The chorus is a little repetitive until the 2nd time around when they add more lyrics, but man... The guitar and vocals are so good on the verse. The delay effect on the guitars sounds fantastic.

Yeah! I'm glad someone else loves what Anberlin did with the delay in both Closer and Impossible (particularly Closer). I was kind of annoyed with the chorus in Closer, just because the lyrics are so repetitive in the first chorus, but aside from that yeah it's great.

The intro to Impossible is fricking great. Its so catchy and the delay effect just adds to the amazingness. I love it when guitarists can make good use of delay.

Agreed on the delay definitely. After hearing this, on the whole Dark is the Way sounds so flat and lifeless though.

I don't know if I'd go as far as 'flat' and 'lifeless,' but it really feels like it lacks punch. It's probably because two of the worst songs on there (used relatively, since I actually really enjoy DitW) are the two aggressive ones.
On here, the best songs (except Type Three and Other Side) are all the uptempo/aggressive ones, e.g., Self-Starter, Little Tyrants, Modern Age, Desires. All of these are awesome.

never listened to this band before.
first two songs are pretty cool although the production seems a little off, but that could just be the quality of my version.
