i don't see why they don't just add them normally too but there are worse things in the world than hidden tracks

Haha of course. I just get really pissed at those. lol

I mean, it's unnecessary. If an album is 50 minutes length, i really rather approach it as i'm about

to listen to 50 minutes of music, not 35 minutes of music + 15 of silence. 2-3 minutes of silence is

ok though, and it also depends on the length of the track itself.

I agree. Waiting long periods of time for hidden tracks is such a pretentious concept(in today's age).

I always edit the file with audacity. I spliced Enshrined into three tracks. The second being 25

seconds of silence and the third being the hidden track.

Depends on the track. On this record I get sense of finality. The hidden track is also somewhat of a stylistic shift, so it makes sense to separate them.

It just feels right.

I also kept a portion of silence on Defeater's last release(empty days).

I wouldn't recommend it lol. I wasted like 3 hours doing my entire library. Wasn't really worth it.

anyway is this better then Edge Of The Earth?

I prefer Edge of the Earth! This is moodier record and the band play more with reverb and atmosphere

than on their previous releases. That aspect is a welcome change, but there are slightly less

AMAZING riffs on this release.

I've over analyzed this album to death, so I get a bit knit picky. In broader terms I'd say the

albums are on par.

All my opinion of course =)

No instrumental track on this one. If your looking for something a little different, the hidden track

is a pretty good substitute though.

Idk how anyone can rate this below a 3.5. It's a really solid record, just a little weak compared to Edge of the Earth.

Because it's boring as fuck. That's how people rate it below a 3.5.
