bruh i fucking love the Recharger Remix by Rhys Fulber so much, thats gonna get jammed for a good while now. Re-Industrialized truly is an amazing release. The remaster is so much punchier than the original, and of course the drums just have more energy.

Solid album, I am going to try re-industr now.
Funnily enough Flug I had to skip Disassemble, found the chorus absolutely grating

Yeah, I find the
"Falling down, breaking down, Falling down, All comes falling down, All comes falling down"
very grating too.
I edited the music and made a 5m29 version in which I removed nearly every occurrence of these vocals and added the piano outro.
I modified a few Fear Factory songs like that when they were spoiled by an annoying element.
Every song on the Industrialist, but also the intros of Powershifter and Controlled Demolition, I also trimmed End of Line of a lot of stuff making it go from 7 crawling minutes to more impactful 5m.
I also altered Cognitive Dissonance to make the song go back the electronic introduction at the end of the quieter passage around 3m40. So that song is actually longer, from 4m38 to 5m10.

damn, here you see a truly dedicated fear factory fan at work

Well, I am a fan.
But also, sometimes songs can truly be saved by a bit of editing. I can't remember what made me start this process...
Oh yes.
It was Soulfly's Savages. I loved the sound and the approach of the album a lot but every song dragged aimlessly for ages so it really made me start editing a few things and I realized it worked perfectly. It really made the album go from 3/5 to 4.5/5 for me. So I did it for other albums afterwards.
A lot of Fear Factory because they are my favorite band. (I shortened Digimortal Byte Block recently because I dislike the chorus a lot)
A few Gojira songs. The Pale Emperor moved from 3 to 4/5 for me thanks to editing.
The recent ascension of the watchers.

It's a fun project for sure, I've done in the past when I could be arsed with those tracks having annoyingly long intros or outros. Case in point: moon child by King Crimson
