dude, if you think these guys want to sound anything like half the bands that have copied them, you're up for a

Nah, I said nothing about Meshuggah wanting to sound like the bands they influence. But, since there was obviously something special that was there for the inspiration, I'd totally be open to seeing what it is.
I had no prior expectations when I finally tested out a few of their tracks other than the fact that they must be somewhat good, or I wouldn't hear about them on 90% of Sputnik's metal-review threads and it must be noted that everyone who posts on here are geniuses.
