Mmmm, must've been Year 8 or 9 for the Hadouken phase so like what, 3/4 years ago? So many people that I know worship Enter Shikari, I've given up even arguing with them, there's maybe 3 people I know with decent taste in my year.

Pretty much exactly right

There's a fair few metalheads/metalcore kids in my year, and they have better taste than most people. There's like one
other guy in my year who listens to a variety of genres and decent bands

everyone in my entire school listens to garbage rap music like lil wayne gucci mane and waka flocka flame. And the the kids who think they are "original" listen to a day to remember and blink 182. lmfao

There's a small group of people in my year who worship stuff like letlive., While She Sleeps and Architects. I've seen a few band t-shirts for stuff like Amon Amarth, Children of Bodom, Metallica, even GY!BE before. People do listen to stuff like ADTR, but they don't flaunt it.

I got a few of the people who mostly listen to genericore into letlive., reasonably successfully. There's maybe two people at my school with good taste?

Lol. Most of the kids at my school who didn't like the generic bullshit (Ke$ha, Lil Wayne, LMFAO, etc.) listened to Bullet For My Valentine, Avenged Sevenfold, All That Remains....you get the idea.

all the guys in my uni like shitty greek songs that I can't even define their genre, so there's only a guy who happens to like tool and deftones, he's the only one I can have a music conversation.

Last night I was seeing a friend of mine with his band playing their garage punk songs, while a girl from my uni was telling the others to leave and go to a place with "mainstream music, not this kind of boring rock songs", aka http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dj4lX7Uv8_g
