Well for the people who don't like metalcore at all then I get it, but if you're into this kind of stuff then there's no reason to hate on it. Definitely one of the better bands of the genre right now in my opinion.

I 5'd it so it should be obvious that I think it's amazing. Near-perfect vocals, perfect breakdowns, cleans are a nice addition, instruments rule.
You just summed up why you're so gay in one post congrats man.

just a reminder that no one is saying this 'sucks'
just that is average, i got Comatose on my mp3 and i never listen to the whole song
this is imo the best they've done yet

this shit actually progresses, unlike the new album which gets stagnant after awhile. plus sick guitars

Interesting. Pretty cool song though. I like the highs on Discoveries better but I agree the guitar work is cool on that song.

the vocals on discoveries are a natural improvement, yea
|

music's alright. i wouldn't say theres ANYTHING special going on there though. it all seems a bit average.
and vocals are below average..

hay guys i randomly came across this review and felt like i wanted to give you guys a bit of in site on this album, My names alex milovic (milo) im the bass player of northlane. i love seeing such a deserve range of opinions about our cd, its not for everyone but hopefully some of you guys liked it after reading the review of checking it out, in reply to shuyin, his on the mark we all love misery signals but were trying to stray away for sounding like them, i guess you may hear influences but the generally the key was to step away from that type of sound. when playing in G# although its low we still try keep it as melodic as possible but when it comes to Australian crowds and fan base's they do love the heavier sections and i think that's a key in our sound as were trying to hit the middle of a heavy/melodic band. i saw someone saying about how well we flow together as musicians and we have all been playing together for about 4 years now and some of us friends for even longer so generally we know what the other person is thinking is a bit weird at times aha in relation to the djent word that keeps popping up, were trying to stay away from the category as much as possible, playing in such a low tuning puts us there straight away tho. influences for this album mainly come from underoath, august burns red, cloudkicker but also alot of our inspiration is drawn from the important facts that happen in today's world i.e corruption being about how the worlds leaders are always having control over its people etc. for those who did not know this is also a concept album. the tracks are meant to display a persons journey of self discovery. thanks for everyone who has taken the time to listen to our cd and given feedback, good or bad it always gets taken on board and we love hearing the negatives just as much as the positives. cheers guys x
