my bad i thought you were from san fran... i need to change that in my review

it's cool, people probably just assumed i was from SF because my bandcamp says SF bay area, i'm from the bay but don't live in SF itself. not like it really matters that much though
@zaruyache lol

Ah okay. Btw I was pretty happy to include your EP on my end of the year list, it definitely deserved it and I'm kinda proud to have one of my contribs on FwB also making kickass blackgaze

I mean, I get where the dude/dudette is coming from attacking the whole "blackgaze" trend and all, but this isn't the shitty Alcest-mimickery that everyone else is supposedly "hating" on. :/

@spirit you and all the other people that have supported me make me extremely excited to produce more material, because i think i can really improve on everything i displayed with this EP. making something you guys enjoy is definitely going to be a big motivation.
@zaruyache yeah on the surface i guess i could see how someone could see it the way he does. but personally black metal and shoegaze are amongst my most respected genres, and i think they both have the ability to convey things that no other genres can. so this project came from my fascination with those two genres, and had pretty much nothing to do with alcest or the trend of blackgaze itself

What I think is your biggest advantage (or what you could use to your advantage) are the criticisms we have of other blackgaze projects. I'm not really sure if you made a conscious effort the first time around to avoid certain trappings, but I definitely think that just being aware could definitely benefit you in the long run.

really glad to hear that man, i thought you would like it:]

yeah i totally understand man, give it time to sink in. thanks! me too

Hey foxblood if you decide to release more material in the future, let me know and I will seriously consider reviewing it and lobbying for a feature. Normally the site doesn't promote random stuff by people we know (especially users), but I reckon this is good enough to be respected as a legitimate release by a potentially up and coming artist.

Sowing on a BM thread wtf
|
| |
Yeah I've been known to dabble in metal occasionally
With that said though, maybe we could get Crysis to review it or something haha
|
| |
Well yeah this is not all that raw so I can see why you would like this :]
Yeah Crysis reviewing this would be awesome
|
| |
wow awesome Sowing, thank you. there will definitely be more material from me in the future. i'm going to shoot for a 2012 release, hopefully a full-length. so i'll definitely let you know down the road

"Devoured..." closed out my year, and what a fucking ending it was! This EP is just bloody fantastic all the way around. I can't say enough good about it.
Also the Neige comparison made me spew my Gatorade. Neigecore has nothing on Nameless Coyote.
