Your commentary about the band was very good, but your review of the album was poor and lacked substance. The fact that you qualify mainstream rock as terrible and uninspired pretty much reveals all I need to know about your opinion of the album...just more trash.

Yeah, I didn't really get in to the meat and bones of it, but the thing is, there's not much to
discuss about the actual album =/ All of the songs sound more or less the same and the themes range
from misogyny to drunken odes here and there. The guitar chords and drum patterns are beyond
repetitive and unimaginative, etc. Also, I wasn't trying to say that all mainstream rock is terrible,
because I like quite a bit of it, I was just saying that a lot of bands these days are making the move
toward vapidity and Nickelback is pretty much the poster child for that. Anyways, thanks for
addressing those points - I'll see about getting around to adding a bit more here and there to what
the overall album sounds like.

Actually I felt that Matt wrote too much about the album itself, as it is. I would have written three sentences max about the actual content (repetitive chords, unimaginative songwriting blah blah you know the deal). Plus who wants to actually read an indepth play-by-play of how a Nickeback album sounds? I feel that would be nearly as painful as hearing the damn thing.
