Kinda loosely similar to how Colton's 3 friends pretend to like his shitty guitar loops so as not to hurt his feelings

In my heart of hearts I kinda wish those burbling/twittering noises felt less “random” or like more constant or less. As is there’s something very “artificial” sounding about how they come in and out

I'm the opposite too, really like the organic nature of those noises, works so wonderfully with the rest.

yes agreed with trif, it really adds to the organic feeling of this album - which is one of the main draws for me

It feels like a beautiful wall of sound to be enveloped in the whole time. The twittering synths feel almost bird like. If I smoke and listen to this, I can almost feel it on my skin.

Less the sound itself than the uncanny mix of the burbling audio signifying “nature/water/twittering birds” (to me) but being cut in a weirdly artificial way (the way it comes in and out of the mix at those particular intervals)

Hmmm, I personally do not hear it that way, but it's always interesting to hear another perspective. I'll pay attention to this the next time I listen to this one, which isn't going to be far in the future...

Frankly, I think this album is super cohesive and fluid. There’s nothing that feels jarring about it to me. The production and textures are the whole draw for me. May 4.5 this eventually

You could always just go outside if you're trying to hear real bird sounds.
