defeater with a little more guitar wailing and a lot less only-vocal shout outs.

They are a lot better than Defeater, what the fuck.

especially when comparing their 2011 releases it's not even close

This is better than Old Pride.

agh guys how do you decide so fast
they're both in the solid 4 range for me but i have no idea how this is gonna hold up. i thought old pride aged quite well even though i know it grew off a lot of people

both are 4.5s for me but this is hitting me way way way harder than Old Pride. obviously this could change but at the moment, I like this better.

"liquid courage is fucking depressing though, i mean seriously."
by far the best song on here though. I wish they'd go for that softer, more atmospheric and depressing sound more

I see that there is a post-rock influence on this band, will I like?

not post rock enough 1/5
|
| |
they don't do the slow post-rock intros building into screamy bits like most of the bands that usually get mentioned for post-rock influenced emo. the influence is more smoothly integrated into their general sound.

IMO, the heavy bits kinda blot the post rock bits out. so although they are there, it's harder to dig into them a lot of the time
or maybe it just needs further listening
