Yea I'd agree with that the hate comes from the popularity possibly. Also, whether or not you think this is better or worse than Periphery, the similarities in the music are pretty obvious. And Periphery has been around for quite a while longer. I'm a Maryland guy and know some old members so sorry I just have to defend them from the absurd amount of hate they get on here. But anyway, these guys are a pretty good band regardless.

People who say the vocals are "meh" and "gay" have no idea what they are saying. This guy is a fantastic tenor. If I'm not mistaken he even hits a High C or Top C (C6 in scientific notation) in one of the songs (Sounds of Glaciers Moving)... That's the defining note of soprano. The highest voice register in music and is usually a female role. His vocal weight and vocal tessitura when he is in his normal Middle C (C5) is fantastic. Know what you are talking about before you try to be such an elitist.

Cool. But range doesn't make you a better singer...

Yeah that note is not a C6 btw, I think the guy is a fantastic singer as well. But If I can hit that falsetto harmony and that is the "highest note" on the whole track that is a c 5 brotha. Michael Jackson was only a F2 to E6 and he is way higher than this guy on recording. Just sayin.
