I was looking around a local CD store today when i noticed a pretty awesome tune playing on the store speakers overhead. I asked one of the people working who it was, and when he told me it was Brand New I must have made the stupidest face out of sheer suprise.
I remember picking up a free demo from a band called Brand New a little over 10 years ago so i recognized the name but i was extremely thrown off by how different they sounded. So i picked up the CD "The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me" and found out it was the track "Luca" that caught my ear. The entire album is amazing though. Can't believe I let these guys get by me.

Idk I had the same complaints about how it sounded like the Jesse Lacey show (like the only thing noticeable was the vocalist) and since I was half-listening while doing other stuff, I didn't pay enough attention to the lyrics/ his tortured singing.
And one day, "Jesus" (which is still my fav BN song) clicked with me, and I listened to the rest of the album and was blown away by it.
