when I first heard the words Tr00 black metal and melody together, the first thing I said was hell fucking yeah... I was not dissapointed. My fav black metal album of all time... and I normally dislike alot of black metal.
can anyone recommend black metal bands that are not raw? I cant get into it if it does not have a twist. I like BM like emperor, dimmu borgir, new enslaved, and these guys.

Wolves in the Throne Room, Leviathan, Satyricon are all good choices if you really like the above mentioned bands.

I liked wolves in the throne room and satyricon...
I also found the band naglfar... which i think is pretty good.
I dont know about leviathan though.... cant find them on youtube.

Newer Enslaved isn't black metal at all. It's more prog metal/rock than anything. Dimmu's first two albums are the only ones I would consider black metal.

Mostly I agree, I think there's still some strong, noticeable black metal going on. Either way it's awesome.
