Ice Cube and Fred Durst on the same album. The 90s sure were a wild time
|

I really like the fun they had with song structures here, they turned much poppier in the next records. Like Issues is solid but it's 50% choruses

I like Got the Life, but actually reading the lyrics:
You will never see, so come dance with me.
Dance with me
Rumbiddieboo
Rum bum dee dum dee bum diddie doo
is a sure fire way to knock it down a peg.

I'll never understand how this album is their best-selling with tracks like all in the family and the last 2-3 songs being a carbon copy of each other.

Issues/Untouchables > FTL, FIGHT ME

I don't know about Issues being better, but I think Untouchables has a solid case; and I dunno man, I think the last 4 tracks on FtL are the highlight; Seed and Justin do have a similar vibe, at least, I'll grant you that.

This album starts really well - It’s On to Dead Bodies is immense
Patchy after that
|
| |
BBK is cool. But yea second half of the album borders between generic filler and garbage.

Nah
I’d make a case that the first four songs on the debut and the first four songs on this one cover everything that Korn could do well really
This came out I could still imagine Korn being big hitters/consistent
Issues dropped and...they’d be ‘just ok’ at best from then on. Even little ol’ Deftones overtook them after and that was a surprise

their first 3 albums are pretty solid honestly. haven't really ventured past that

Issues and Untouchables are too tame.
