Man I am so hyped about this reissue.

And The Imploding Voice is awesome — not one of the best tracks here, but somewhere in the middle imo.

Goddamn, could you imagine how perfect of a closer Wound would've been on this?

i always thought Age of Innocense did quite well in that regard, main problem is the trudge in getting to it with Crying Tree & that version or BSBT

I love both of those songs tho... Wound just does a perfect job of being upbeat without being as cheesy as that or "Every Light"

It's an upbeat closer that sounds like it deserves its joy

Wound is so fucking good. One of the best tracks here, and possibly the most underrated Pumpkins song period. Rarely see it mentioned.

I'd agree with that actually, song hit me so hard a couple years ago and I haven't stopped feeling it since

Yeah, Wound, This Time, The Everlasting Gaze and Stand Inside Your Love are the best here, and among the Pumpkins’ best songs. Stand Inside May even be top 5. Insanely good song. Underrated album in general (as is Adore as well, but this even more so as Adore garnered a following years after release).

Yeah this deserves a 3.5 at least imo. There's just too much great stuff here to dismiss.

Album has its high points but some of the tracks here are pretty bad, Heavy Metal Machine and Glass being the worst offenders.

Both those songs are great imo. Looking at the track list, I can't see a single track that I wouldn't rate at least a 4.

Idk, I really love this album

I'm with you on those (though I think Billy comes close to selling the absolute lameness and ridiculousness of HMM, but it's also very tempting to imagine an album where Try Try Try goes right into This Time), then obviously there's the acapella breakdown in TEG (insanely grating, the song really isn't that great to begin with either) and BSBT/CToM make the last stretch feel twice as long as it actually is. It's got the weakest material out of any SP1 album by far imo, but also some of the strongest, easily
