This especially seems like a Zak album, if you can forgive the 80s touches. Like the keyboard on Incommunicado.

Keyboards be damned the guitar on this thing is fucking astronomical
|
| |
It's some of the best in the genre
Especially the beginning of That Time Of The Night

This album will always remind me of riding the subway to work when I used to work in downtown Manhattan. Ipods were state of the art technology at the time. I destroyed this 1000 times in my own little world on those tedious commutes.
If all those people crammed around me knew what I was listening to, they'd be fans of it too.

Most of this album just feels good, confirmed. And I love listening to music on the train, so I imagine that your routine could drastically improve a day.

From the dream on the barbed wire at Flanders and Bilston Glen
From a Clydeside that rusts from the tears of its broken men
From the realisation that we've been left behind
Is to stand like our fathers before us in the firing line
Waiting on the whistle to blow
We stand here waiting on the whistle to blow
They promised us miracles, and the whistle still blows
Broken promises but the whistle still blows
Waiting on the whistle to blow
We stand here waiting on the whistle to blow
Fucking magnificent

Album is an absolute classic.
Massively underrated as a result of the complete poo-pooing the band got back in the day.
|
| |
pretty much everything this band's done has its fair share of belters

"Fish era has far more chest thumpers"
I completely agree.

Tux On should’ve been on the original tracklisting. Such a godly tune

And everyone looks at everyone's faces
Searching for signs
And praying for traces
Of a conscience in residence

You saying I should 5? It's tempting.
Some years ago I didn't think this had aged so well but now it's fresh again.
