hey its Potsy not much i took a year off from most things metal tbh in 2014 which was good because my interest in it has come back hard and strong and 2015 has been fantastic for the m/'s so far

that sucks dude maybe takes a peep at my feb and jan lists when u get to downloading some new new. also, outside of those lists, new uffomammut, leviathan, enslaved, sannhet, Misthyrming have all been tight as fuck and the new pelican ep was the worst thing of all time ever

potsy how do you listen to so much music? genuinely curious. I have a part-time job where I can listen to music, and I've only heard about 75 albums this year, and that is absolutely insane for me. I'm assuming you're either unemployed or can listen to shit at work?

im in college and i listen to new music whenever im studying or writing essays, or reading which is very frequently especially this last semester here. also i don't usually listen to the whole album if its shitty. i start to skip songs if i hate them and the album is boring me. so a lot of my 1's-2.5's are pretty passive listens - i dont have the patience to waste my time with music thats not doing anything for me

also a college student, i do most of my studying to stuff i know and love. I usually do end up forcing myself through stuff I don't like, just out of principle, but I probably should do that less. what are you studying?

i used to do that, i had this rule where i would suffer through the entire album no matter what just so my rating would be as accurate as possible but then i realized ratings are arbitrary as fuck and that it was a waste of my life to listen to shit albums the whole way through just to satiate some sort of rating principle we all make up for ourselves haha. save myself the bother and move on to something i'll enjoy.
I'm finishing up my social work diploma then im going to take a break. ive been in school for 3 years, a year of visual arts, half a year of not knowing what the fuck, and a year and a half of social work so im ready to take a break, get a job, save some money, travel for a bit and then maybe come back and get my degree. what about you?
