I know I’m jumping the gun - but new album has a White Chalk vibe but one that rubbed shoulder against Is This Desire. Personal, intimate and character based Polly is better than historical or political Polly. This album is her heartland and it shows in the intricate and nuanced layers of the music. It just hits the spot for me.
