I'm super conflicted on this. On the one hand, it riffs hard and there's a super cool understanding of tempo, but on the other hand, it sounds like shit (what's up with that ultra muddy production on albums that should be all about getting clear sounds out of those chugged palm muted riffs) and there really isn't much to latch on to with the riffs changing too often to settle into something. It blends together too much at one point.



Basically, it feels ...AJFA, if it had an actually good drummer and wanked around a lot less, but still kept the idea that a thrash album has to sound like shit production-wise.

Isn't it just a classic '89 sound? I grew up with this, so the production was never an issue, only the amazing combination of music and storytelling.



But when I hear albums from that period for the first time, OK they do tend to sound a bit shitty.
