It’s such a shame we couldn’t get a follow-up album with THIS lineup…. Keeping the same band name and then shifting lineups massively and basically sounding like a new band, turns out that’s probably not great for advertising a fantastic album like this lol

Trying to be objective here- This is vastly superior than all of their previous releases, but it’s almost like the nostalgia for the era they got big in just put a glass ceiling on this one. This one even has way more mainstream appeal imo, and unquestionably had far more engaging and dynamic musicianship

Idk lol. Great album especially given how saturated this genre was at the time. The last half of place where most deny… white as snow… etc etc… they just carved out a unique sound that still blows me away. I want more plz

At the time this was pretty close to a 5 for me, it’s kinda tricky for me to rate now cuz I don’t find the heavier parts as interesting as I did in the 2010’s. That’s not really the albums fault tho so idk. I’ll just say it’s a 4-5 for me lol

1000%. This album (along with Coward) is when they really started making music with their full potential realized.

Yeah this is far and away their best for me but I love their earlier stuff as relics of past core sounds

Yea ngl I'm a sucker for Dreamer and all the catchy choruses on there. When Everything Falls got some bangers on there as well.

The guitar work has always been far and away the biggest standout for me on this. It’s phenomenal. It’s not a protest the hero level shred fest and isn’t some animals as leaders technical wizardry exhibition either, but holy shit can they write some memorable guitar riffs/passages. As a guitarist I really admire their ability to make the guitar work incredibly interesting. That’s a rare skill
