To be fair Ben actually started developing brain damage from his alcoholism around Phobia. Talent wise he is a shell of his former self, its sad hearing him perform live. So I imagine this factored in his formulaic song writing structure by Phobia. What irks me more than the BB formula are a lot the lyrics, which apparently were written by trailer park Shakespeare

that dude drank a lot...even during his earliest gigs he is slurring and yet performing at a high level. those saturate shows are really awesome, wish i got to see them then.
