Idk I think it kind of gives it this weird musty feeling. It's like algae floating on waves (the waves being the melodies). It kind of gives it a more contained feeling without being detrimental to the style.

along with the crackling i thought the rest of it was boring as shit too but i'll listen to it again

I just wish there was no clipping, this album would be even better.

The album is so much better because of all its scratches and scars, it makes it sound so much more personal, more real. Its so much more alive because of the lack of polish
