Dammit, I cant see it
|
| |
Travis Henry.
|
| |
who did they trade Starbury to the Nets for? I can't remember..
and yeah, they fucked up pretty bad. Joe Smith was actually really good when they pulled that deal. He'd been in the NBA for 3 years and I think his career averages were around 16 and 8 (not bad considering he was hurt in Philly and only averaged about 20 min a game there). But still, getting caught and doing it illegally was stupid and set the franchise back about 5 years.
Yeah, Kevin McHale's an idiot. Not that he does games on TNT it's even more obvious (he was pronouncing Joakim Noah's name as "Joaquin" like Joaquin Phoenix during one of the playoff games -- which is unacceptable).
|
| |
haha, Travis Henry. He got arrested with like $25,000 of weed on him recently too, right?
|
| |
McHale got a pass for far too long because he is/was a legend in the state of Minnesota (he's from Hibbing, same town as Bob Dylan), and he is a genuinely nice guy. He actually wasn't a terrible coach, he was just completely over his head as a GM.
And Inveigh, a power forward averaging 16 and 8 is nothing to get excited about IMO.
|
| |
Yeah Travis Henry has had all kinds of legal problems. I honesty can't remember who they got for Starbury. Probably the Mark Mad Dog Madsen poo poo platter.
|
| |
Didnt Vernon go into the stands to challenge a heckler? I know he did something of the like. Dude was batshit crazy.
|
| |
Let's see if anyone can guess the football legend in my picture
|
| |
^haha, Mad Dog Madsen -- remember his terrible dancing after one of the Lakers championships? it'd be terrible if that's all they got considering Marbury was traded from the Nets to the Suns like a year later for Jason Kidd.
and no, 16 and 8 is nothing to get excited about, but I don't think they were paying him all that much money or anything -- they just signed him under the table early or something because he was a former #1 pick who was young (left Maryland after his sophomore year I think) and was going into his 4th year -- a lot of people still thought he would be an all-star. But I get what you're saying, he definitely wasn't worth it.
I've always liked Joe Smith's game for some reason. He's a very complimentary player in that he could fit in almost any system.
