Come on it's nothing in comparison to The White Pony. Album sounds better than average until you hit Beauty School and then it's all downhill from there.

I love White Pony but it lulls in the middle with street carp, teenager and knife party imo, where diamond eyes just smashes along for the whole album. I am going to put it out there and say that sextape is the best song deftones have released.

If there's ANY weak point to the album, it's the last two songs, and I can certainly find many things about both 976 and Death that I dig big time. How dare you say after Beauty School it's downhill. Prince, Rocket Skates, Sextape, Risk...*drools*

I never saw White Pony as such a big deal. I like the shoegazy goodness of their recent releases more.

Uh what, Street Carp, Teenager and Knife Party are three of the best songs on White Pony. The only stage where that album slacks off is the opening and Passenger, but even then its minimal at best.



This albums doesn't hold up to WP in the slighest, but it's still pretty solid. Gonna agree though - last two songs are where its not at, although I did at least a chunk of This Place is Death "You were right in my dreams"...

Not saying that they are bad songs at all just to me they dont fit well with the rest of the album, whereas I love Feiticeira and Passenger... opinions are funny things.

I kinda (not really) understand Street Carp and Teenager...but how does Knife Party not fit with the rest of the album? It practically is the sound of the album rolled into one song.

normally against listening to anything leaked. i like to wait until the release date, but after saturday night wrist (which i enjoyed thoroughly, but was not all that impressed with) i had to give it a listen. and fuck. great release.

I can see what you're getting at with Street Carp and Teenager (although I love those songs), but Knife Prty? That's the best song on the album imo, and there aren't really any weak points on there.
