Pretty good. Her voice is phenomenal at times in that song, and awkward at other times. Probably sums her voice up in a nutshell at this early stage in her career.

Where does it seem awkward to you? I honestly think she sounds phenomenal throughout the entire song... it was my first exposure to Ellie though and her version holds very potent sentimental value.



It's led me to listen to this a couple of times though and it's rewarded me plenty.

I wouldn't mind her taking a more folk/organic approach to her new material. This is good and all but she really shines in the less produced material she does (seeing her live apparently makes this album seem absolute naff).
