"Weird, because you rated Ire Works a 4, and you call that album inconsistent compared to this. Anyway, any album is more consistent than Ire Works. Also, I think it's pretty tough to say this album as a whole resembles the structure of Ire Works, as Ire Works was a bunch of short tracks thrown into a CD with a few long tracks as an attempt to balance it."
Edit: Yeah, I think this is more consistent than Ire Works for sure, but I still enjoy Ire Works more than this at the moment. Inconsistent doesn't necessarily mean unenjoyable. And all I meant by the Ire Works comparison was the similarity in sound, like they are continuing on with the Ire Works direction rather than doing a sound like Miss Machine or Calc. Infinity.

The sound is pretty similar though. This is what Ire Works was supposed to be.
Except Ire Works was a good album

Ire Works was "good" but when put up against the rest of their discography it pales in comparison, which is why so many people claim to hate it. It's an adequate enough album with a small handful of gems, but overall it's forgettable.
This isn't.

Yeah I have Ire Works at a 4. I just think this is a bit better. All the parts are still here, but now they're incorporated better.

At times I almost prefer Ire to Miss Machine

I see what you mean now, even though I still view Ire Works as a bastard child to their progression.

Gold Teeth On a Bum and Widower are both so fucking good. Whole album is really...I think Parasitic Twins is my least favorite but it's just different so it'll probably grow on me.

Love this but the only thing keeping me from giving it a straight 5 is that some parts blended together :x
