Even if their studio output becomes poor (which I don't think this is) then I'd still hate for them to break up because then they'd have to stop playing live...

well okay that was more in response to the silly fanboy, im going to go see them live regardless in September, hopefully they don't play too much off this

They've announced another US tour, except this time they are headlining. Probably going to see them in May.

Really, just remove the filler tracks (Shadow in Our Blood, The Fatalist, At the Point of Ignition and Surface the Infinite) and then you've got one hell of metal album. Iridium is fantastic, and I am the Void, Her Silent Language, Arkhangelsk and The Grandest Accusation are all high quality stuff. I do agree that the guitars are lackluster on this one, but I don't find the massive amounts of keyboard negative at all. However, I respect and understand everyone who feels disappointed with this album (but the 1s and 1,5s are a bit too harsh), because it differs from the earlier albums... but at the same time, it doesn't. It's quite hard to explain and I guess that not everyone can appreciate it.

In my opinion if an album has at least 4 filler tracks then it wouldn't warrant anything more than a 3.5.

You missed out Crysis, when the opened for xcookiecutterscenebandx they did 5 songs from Fiction, 2 from Damage Done and Dream Oblivion.
Well then again, if you've seen them before I guess I missed out.

I saw them on their US Character tour in 2005, and I have tickets to see their We Are The Void US headlining tour on May 16th. I opted out from seeing them open for The Devil Wears Prada and KSE.

I loved this when they were streaming it, but after I bought the album it all went downhill.

I listened to it when it first came out and was kind of disappointed so I haven't touched it for the last month and it's starting to grow on me. It's different enough from their last few albums to possibly make people dislike it at first (like I did).

I've listened to it over two dozen times and it gets worse if anything.

I'm not your typical DT fan either, so that might have something to do with it. I have The Gallery at a 3 and Projector is still my favorite.

Has anyone noticed that the album cover looks a bit like Goatse?

Seeing these guys tonight, I'm crossing my fingers that they'll avoid this album like the plague but since the tour is for this album I doubt my wishes will come true. We'll have to see.
