Album Rating: 5.0
gave this a full listen for the first time in the while to see if it still holds up. definitely some clunky moments ("talking to god" is a bit on-the-nose; i don't particularly need "loded"; the second half has some awkward stretches), but the peaks are still so good. this band has such a strange ear for melody for a group in this genre and i love how much they showed it here - "aftermath", "alone with the sea", outro in "ttg", "assurance" are all basically perfect
there's a locked-in 5 to be made with the highlights of vol. 1 + the highlights here
